The Dolphin Centre
The Dolphin Centre is the training and fencing location for the Duelling Weapons Symposium.
In the heart of Darlington, the Dolphin Centre holds the training studio for the day, along with our dining room for afternoon tea.
The exhibition duels will be fought in the Central Hall in the afternoon, as it is an exquisite setting for such excellent fencing.
The venue is easily accessible from the A1 motorway, as well as the Darlington train station (a staple of the East Coast main line) a short walk away. There are even multiple airports near Darlington, with both Teesside and Newcastle between 15 and 50 minutes away.
Facilities
The Dolphin Centre has excellent facilities for an event such as ours.
Registration will be between 10:00 and 11:00am on the first floor, marked with a red dot.
The centre has changing rooms with showers on the same floor, with lockers available (you’ll need a £1 coin to use them).

Premier Inn
Right in the centre, with a modern leisure centre, historic railway museum and lively theatre on your doorstep.
The Premier Inn is located close to our daytime and evening venues and close to parking options.
Mercure Darlington Kings Hotel
The Kings Hotel is the home of the Duelling Weapons Symposium.
In the heart of Darlington, the hotel is where most of our guests will be staying and where our gala dinner will be held.

Parking
Feethams Multi-storey Car Park
The Feethams car park is open 24 hours and is located behind the Dolphin Centre, between the Premier Inn and Al Forno, where the evening meal will be held.
